The Artwork
Hundreds of petals in pink, magenta, coral, violet and white gather like blossom against the sky, each a thick sculpted dab of paint. Beneath them, slender painted stems and drips fall into a pale, watery wash of blue and gold, so the eye moves from dense colour at the top to quiet, open space below. As light shifts across the surface, the raised petals catch highlights and cast small shadows, giving the piece a genuinely three-dimensional bloom.

The petals are built in heavy palette-knife impasto, each one standing well off the premium cotton canvas as a distinct raised form, worked by hand in professional-grade acrylics and finished in protective varnish once cured.
