The Artwork
Rectangular planes overlap and shift like a city seen at an angle — pale ivory masses broken by bursts of amber, brick red and deep blue. The composition builds from dense colour on one side into quieter neutral space on the other, holding the eye in a slow, balanced climb. Non-representational yet grounded, it reads as a study in mass, edge and warm-cool contrast.
Handcrafted Texture
The blocks are laid down by hand in firm palette-knife strokes across premium cotton canvas, professional-grade acrylics dragged in flat, layered planes with edges that catch the light, then sealed in protective varnish once cured. As daylight moves across the room, the raised edges of each plane pick up highlights and cast fine shadows, giving the composition a low, architectural relief.
